Mental health is a topic that has been overlooked now for decades. Recently it has become a popular/important topic thought and talked about within the school systems.
Let's talk about what mental health means. Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. Mental health can also control how we react to certain things. It's important at every stage of life, with bad mental health can cause long-term effects like heart disease and strokes. An important thing that people need to understand about mental health is how much it can change; it never stays the same. Nowadays, being stressed feels like a part of our everyday routines. There are many ways that one can reduce/relieve stress like, taking a walk, meditating, taking a day off, going out with friends, etc. Yes, these examples seem like very small things but they can make a huge difference. It's important to continue trying to change your outlook on difficult situations because over time, things will get better. And no matter what the situation is, it will get better. If you need help or someone to talk to we ask you to reach out to our school counselors or these numbers here:
