As the time for college applications being submitted approaches, seniors are getting more and more stressed. The Humanities 12 class and the various English classes are working on writing college essays but many students are still finding it hard to be productive on them. Oftentimes picking an essay topic is the hardest part and with the high stakes placed on college essays it becomes even harder. People often choose to write about personal struggles, their stories, solving a problem, etc. College essays are possibly the most important part of an application and it can really make you stand out to admissions counselors. When choosing your topic you should be sure to choose something that you can easily write about and won’t struggle with finding material for. College essays are limited to six hundred and fifty words so you should be sure you can right to your point without too much pointless information. Overall, college applications and essays are really a way of advertising yourself, so brag! Remember to be confident and not to stress yourself out unnecessarily. - Leah Comments are closed.
