To some it may come as a confusion in regards to the suspicious lack of trash that is typically strewn along the side of Kansas Road. On October 24th, 2019, the LRHS ASTRA Club led by English teacher Carinne Fournier organized time to volunteer to pick up our community. Giving up precious class time and AB, these committed students walked from the high school to the middle school during second period, splitting into groups and walking an estimated 2.5 miles round trip down each direction of Kansas Road. Collecting copious amounts of coffee cups and fast food containers, as well as a few odd tires or old box TVs, these students made a visible difference on the health and cleanliness of Lake Region.
